Mississauga Climate Change Action Plan
The City of Mississauga is updating its Climate Change Action Plan (CCAP). The CCAP is a 5-year road map for tackling the impacts of the changing climate. It sets out actions that the City and residents can undertake to reduce greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions and help the city increase its resiliency to withstand and respond to current and future climate events. The updated CCAP has a goal to set more ambitious targets aligned with international goals of limiting global warming to 1.5º Celsius. Civicplan is working with the City of Mississauga to help involve the public in the update of this important plan. This includes launching a Community Climate Lab to inform and consult residents. Through the Community Climate Lab residents can learn how the City is currently implementing the 2019 CCAP and what innovative actions other communities are adopting. Further, residents can provide input on potential actions to meet the updated climate action goals for Mississauga.
