390 Main Street West Residential Development

Development within a neighbourhood is a complex process. There are a variety of stakeholders who have input on how development can and should take place. Starting off on the right foot is essential.

A multi-use residential condominium development is proposed at Main and Margaret Streets in central Hamilton. This area, just west of downtown, is undergoing significant transition with an influx of new residents and the revitalization of the older urban area.

Civicplan spearheaded the Formal Consultation Process for this development. This involved consultation with the community, City, and design review panel. An innovative community planning development proposal was combined with public consultation both online and in the community. This resulted in concrete actions and ideas that set the stage for a more positive development process for the client, community and the City.
